Years ago I had an opportunity to buy into a company. I wasn't a founder, but through sweat equity and investment I was going to be a minority owner. I needed money for the investment so I went to the bank. One of the conditions of the loan was that I personally guarantee it, meaning use collateral like my house or my savings as protection for the bank. I was young, didn't have much, but thankfully wasn't looking for a lot of money. After a painstaking process I was finally approved.
After several prosperous years of client acquisition, the company was looking to explode our growth and strive for the "brass ring." To do so, we needed capital. So, collectively and individually we went looking for money. By now I was older, married, had a house and children; so when the bank asked me to personally guarantee my loan - with a lousy interest rate to boot - let's just say I had a million reasons to say "no."
Years later, when I learned about corporate credit, it upended everything I thought I knew about business. I didn't have to personally guarantee. I could get lower interest rates like the big companies. I had access to higher limits.
Why hadn't anyone told me?
Since then, we at the BSA Financial Group have been on a mission to educate as many small business owners as we can on the power of corporate credit and capital. It truly is life changing.
"I needed working capital for my business and had met Dan through a mutual friend. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Only four months into our journey and we already have access to over six figures."
"Faster and smoother than I figured. Helpful people. Great results."
"Packed with value from Day 1 with how much I learned. Results take time but are real and they do what they say they're going to do."
